The 12 hours of Sebring was a very memorable race weekend that year where David celebrated his father's historic 1959 Formula 1 championship by driving the exact 1959 Cooper-Climax in a pre-race parade before racing the Patrón Highcroft Racing Acura en route to the overall ALMS LMP1 Driver and Team Championships.
